Rain barrels available in time for spring showers

Porter County – Rain barrels will be available for pick up at the Northwest Indiana Earth Day Celebration on April 16 to anyone who has pre-ordered and paid for them.
Public compost sites to open March 28

The Valparaiso compost site, 2150 W. Lincolnway, and the Boone Grove compost site, 400 West 550 South, will open for the season March 28, to give Porter County residents a location to drop off and recycle yard waste from their spring yard cleanups.
